It seems strange to think that only a month ago, phrases like ‘social distancing’ and ‘flattening the curve’ were unfamiliar terms. In this temporary, but challenging time, we are all seeking for ways to find joy and to create some semblance of celebration back into our lives. At Party City, I have the pleasure of watching how people are doing this every day, and I am blown away with the power of creativity and the passion of the human spirit.
People everywhere are proving that no matter what is happening in the world around us, there is ALWAYS a reason to celebrate. Maybe we’re celebrating the fact that we’re still healthy, or that we have recovered or… that our 4 year old just turned 5. Because even in quarantine and isolation, milestones are still happening.
To me, this is a great example of how you can, and how we should, celebrate the good things in life.
Positive energy, joy and happiness are proven factors that contribute to a stronger immune system and therefore a healthier life. And let’s face it, joy is also contagious!
Even though we don’t know what tomorrow’s world will look like, we must continue to celebrate these unforgettable moments, because those are the ones that make life worth living.
I’ll share more examples like these in the hopes that they inspire you and remind you to seek out the joy in every situation.
